The Children and Families Act 2014 came into force on 22 April 2014. It puts the 2013 new Public Law Outline onto a statutory footing, incorporating the 26 week deadline, and makes other amendments to documentation and procedure. It also makes significant changes in relation to adoption.
This programme looks at:
• The 26 week timetable for care and supervision proceedings, and the circumstances in which extensions are likely to be granted
• The new timeframe for interim care and supervision orders
• The changes made in relation to adoption
